Potomac advises ArchiMed on the sale of Citieffe (Italy) to Polymed (India)

Founded in 1962, Citieffe is an Italian specialist in traumatology with one of the most advanced ranges of internal and external fixators on the market. The company is the market leader in Italy and operates directly in the US and Mexico, as well as in more than 40 countries worldwide through distributors.

Fully vertically integrated, Citieffe controls the entire value chain from design to manufacturing and distribution. Under the impetus of its majority shareholder, France’s ArchiMed, one of the world’s largest healthcare investment funds, the group has grown significantly internationally, which now accounts for more than 60% of its revenue, while strengthening its industrial capabilities.

Building on this momentum, Citieffe has been sold to PolyMed, a leading Indian listed medical device company with over $200 million revenues, with a view to accelerating growth in the European and American markets.
