AmeriWater is an American niche player in the design, manufacture, installation and supply of water purification systems and services for dialysis and other health sector applications.
In 2010, as part of its strategy to acquire water treatment equipment and in order to benefit from a more recurring revenue profile, Suez instructed Potomac Transactions as financial advisor to structure the terms of the AmeriWater acquisition.
After the classic due diligence phases, the acquisition was negotiated and completed in 2011 by Suez, which has a similar business in the United Kingdom.
