BLH, the distributor of fragrance ingredients, has joined forces with the Belgian-listed group Azelis in a process organised by Potomac Transactions.
Based in Grasse, the world center of perfumery, BLH has established itself as a leading French distributor of aromatic ingredients. Founded in 1983 by Philippe Bécot and managed by his son Nicolas Bécot, BLH generates sales of over €40m. Since its creation, BLH has enjoyed continuous growth thanks to the development of solid relationships with global ingredient suppliers such as Firmenich, IFF and Symrise, while building a loyal base of French and foreign customers by offering them high-quality service and access to market-leading products.
With the acquisition by Azelis, BLH will pursue its growth strategy in France and abroad, with an even wider product range to better serve its customers in the Fragrance and Flavors markets. Azelis is a world leader in the distribution of ingredients in the health and specialty chemicals sectors. With the acquisition of BLH, Azelis strengthened its position in the fragrance and flavour segment. Present in 63 countries, the group has sales of over €4bn, achieved through a dynamic strategy of organic and external growth.
